How to Assemble a Stained Glass Frame

When you first receive your frame, please measure the sticks to make sure:

  1. The legs are the correct lengths that you need.
  2. The groove width will fit the thickest part of the artwork.
  3. The groove depth is deep enough to cover everything you need it to cover.

To put the stained-glass, double-sided, frame together:

  1. Pre-drill the corners to nail or screw them.
  2. Attach 3 pieces to make a “U”, not an “L” as you would a regular frame.
  3. Slide your artwork into the “U”.
  4. Attach the last piece.
    1. You may want to use decorative screws/nails or countersink them to hide them. We recommend screws as it can be hard on the artwork when hitting the nail.
    2. Use eye screws or decorative hardware about 1/3rd of the way down from the top, on the outside of frame to attach the hanging wire/fishing line/decorative chain. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND HANGING FROM THE TOP OF THE FRAME.
